The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is not only one of the most popular art museums in the world, but also a work of art in itself. The innovative building, built by the famous architect Frank Gehry, was opened in 1997. Since then, it has been surpassing its record number of visitors every year. On the outside, you can see works such as Mama by Louise Bourgeois or Puppy, the famous dog made with flowers by Jeff Koons. Inside, in addition to temporary exhibitions of great value, there is a permanent collection of contemporary art pieces by artists such as Richard Serra, Mark Rothko, and Antonio Saura.
